All possible condolences to Andy's family. I can honestly say that I never knew anyone else quite like him. I will remember what a intelligent, funny, hard working, sociable, honest and fiercely loyal friend he was over more than 30 years. There are plenty of memories from both serious and lighthearted times in the office, including his brand of entertainment by sarcasm lightening up dull financial courses, but mainly out of it of course; innumerable evenings touring City hostelries, Andy telling his sometimes frankly unbelievable but true stories, the banter at "Dream League" auction events, and including the legendary Rhyl trips with Andy as guest of Penshurst Park FC. A very great loss and I will also mention the shock and sadness communicated to me by Andy's other friends and colleagues to whom I have passed the news.

4 of us had a long lunch recently, with Andy on fine form so I was deeply shocked to learn of his passing.
I’ve known Andy and the family since secondary school where he was extremely intelligent with a mischievous sense of curiosity; the creation of a local pirate radio station to cover the local park being a particular highlight.
My abiding memory of Andy is that you never quite knew where a conversation with him might lead you; however it would always be interesting and provide a different point of view, usually accompanied by much shared laughter.
My thoughts are with his parent’s & family
Rest in Peace

I would like to offer my sincere condolences to Andy’s family at this very sad time. I was deeply shocked and saddened to learn of Andy’s untimely death. Andy and I have worked together at Fireco for the past 6 years. Since the pandemic, I only got to see Andy once a week but always enjoyed our weekly catch ups discussing current affairs, office politics and putting the world to rights. He liked to reminisce about his school days (I’m sure everyone has heard about the home-made bomb!) and his time working in the city, he also spoke very fondly of his mum and dad and protecting them during the pandemic was of the utmost importance to him. During lockdown we had a WhatsApp group called ‘Cats, chickens and bread’ which were the combined interests of the group at that time, Andy was one of the main contributors - he had a razor sharp wit and made us all laugh out loud on many occasions. Now when I see something in the news that I know that Andy and I would’ve spent time discussing and laughing about, I feel bereft. Wherever you are Andy, I’m sure you’ll either be coding or trading. It was a pleasure to know you and I will miss your insightfulness and humour. RIP my friend.
